Alsta ornaments are made from folded paper, pleated into a circular rosette and finished with fine gold detailing that catches the light as they turn. Choose light blue for a soft, wintry alternative to the usual reds and greens, or off white for something quieter still, lovely against a bare branch or a plain green tree.
Each ornament comes with its own string, so they're ready to hang straight from the box, on the tree, along a mantelpiece or from a window. The medium size measures 10 cm across, which gives them enough presence to work in small numbers rather than needing a whole treeful, and the two colour-ways mix beautifully together. Best of all, they fold flat at the end of the season and store in almost no space at all, which anyone who has wrestled a box of baubles into the loft will appreciate.
These are handmade, so the colour, the finish and the size vary slightly from piece to piece, which is the mark of the making rather than a fault.
Details
- Material: Paper with polyester detailing, handmade
- Size: 10 cm diameter, medium size, set of 4
- Care: Clean with a dry cloth. Keep dry, as paper marks and warps easily, and store flat and away from damp between seasons.
